The Institute

The International Institute of Tinjitsu

The Institute was founded as a way to represent the art of Tinjitsu and give those that practice it a place to feel like they belong.

Ever since its founding it has been working to support those that practice Tinjitsu. It is our great honour to be there to provide support and recognition for these talented and brave individuals.

The Art

Tinjitsu

Tinjitsu is a martial art built around the use of bread baking tins. It initially started out this way and then branched out to the use of other awkward objects. Tinjitsu comes from a place of calm and confidence. It helps you feel calm knowing that you can use any every day object to practise the art or in self defence.

The Way of the Tin focuses primarily on using bread tins however. Here the art truly shines in its original form and unique identity.

2026 World Championship

In a truly unique set of events all practitioners of the art showed up for the 2026 World Championship. It was a tough a competition and everyone put on a good show.

But there can only be one winner and this year it was the Grand Master himself, Aaron Rolls.

History and Lineage

Origins

Tinjitsu is a relatively new art, forged in the fires of the Thoroughbread Foods bakery. After years of masterfully using tins to bake bread, the founder of the art Aaron Rolls decided to hone his experience into an art form.

This culminated in the Way of the Tin. Which has become the worlds foremost martial art based around bread tins. But it didn't stop there and has started to branch out into other awkward to hold objects.
